Everything on this earth belongs to our Heavenly Father. So when it comes to our finances -it is a tool to be used to fulfill everyone's physical needs. Our finances are what we use to maintain all the necessities we have in this life like food, shelter and clothing. However the role our finances plays in our journey with Christ means so much more.
How we use our finances towards the advancement of the Kingdom of God is where our purpose is. When we use our finances to bless others, we are fulfilling God's purpose and share in the works towards his Kingdom. We have been called out from darkness to be a blessing and to bless others in everything we do. We were not created to financially focus on attaining things or to focus on ourselves. Financially we are to focus on filling the needs of others. When we are able to help someone else financially, God sees our heart's part and rewards us in His way for our selfless acts. What we do is an extension of who we are. Who we are will be reflected and seen in what we do.
So the next time you sit down with your finances -think of ways or areas where you can personally contribute to God's mission. It is all about the Gospel of the Kingdom of God -letting the world know about God's promises and how we all fit into His plan!
