WE ARE ALL GOD'S WORK IN PROGRESS!!!!

It is soooo easy to get discouraged in life in our ministries, relationships, our hopes or dreams.  Despite the fact that we know what the WORD of God says...it will never stop those moments of weakness, insecurities or doubts creeping up trying to destroy all the progress GOD has done in our lives.  The fact is... we can not stop being human. We can not stop life from giving us certain circumstances or situations in our lives that we simply do NOT want to face.  But we can decide how we handle those situations allowing each circumstance to shape and develop us closer to be more CHRIST LIKE.  We can come to the point where we are strong enough not to allow those negative thoughts to be the driving force in our lives.

That is one of the reasons why I do this.  I started writing this blog not as a means of trying to show myself as more knowledgeable or all knowing or better than anyone at being a Christian.  I started this blog because I too am working on overcoming everything that I talk about.  I too am God's work in progress.  I too struggle from time to time with a lot of these issues.  But I talk about them because it matters to me and I hope that maybe someone else who is struggling with the same issues can find some kind of hope. Or at least come to the realization that WE ALL struggle with different issues, circumstances and discouragements!

The fact is...none of us are perfect.  We all need to re-evaluate our actions from time to time. We all need to look at ourselves and judge ourselves honestly...lest we be judged.  We can not run our lives by ourselves.  We need the holy spirits guidance.  We can not run our ministries by ourselves...we all need help.  God gave us each other so that all the tools and resources we need mostly are found in each other.  We need an artist....the church is filled with talented artists.  We need worship leaders...the church is filled with potential people who are or can be developed into worship leaders.  We need organizers...the church is filled with people who are great with planning and organizing things. 

My point is...we all have different skills and talents God gave us to help someone else.  We were not meant to hold on to our talents only for our own benefit.  We must train those around us God put in our trust! We must teach, encourage, push, mold, and shape our peers so that they too can experience growth and maturity.  What kind of community would we have if no one took interest in helping anyone.  There would be no point in building a KINGDOM for God with no laborers.  We must serve each other, communicate effectively with each other, and most of all LOVE each other enough to want to see your neighbour succeed in their gifting. Don't be selfish and think only of yourself.  Love your neighbour the way God has loved you!

Discouragement in anything can just be that...just how you are feeling in the moment or situation!  God never promised our walk would be easy...that is why we must have FAITH and believe against all odds that HE will work things out!  But just remember FAITH without WORKS is DEAD!!!! So don't just wish for things to change...do something!!!! ~
