Growing In God's Will

~As Christians we have the responsibility to take action towards our growth and maturity in Christ. We can't expect new results or change by doing the same things -or doing nothing at all. Success in anything only comes through action. So when we seek to fulfill God's will for our lives we must take action.

And it is imperative to strengthen the foundation of our faith in all things first. Doing this will deepen our understanding of who God is and His system of things. The more we understand about God -the more confident we will be in times of trouble, and as a result we will be confident in walking in the will of God for our lives.

But some may ask,"How do we come to the full knowledge and realization of His will?" Perhaps prayer and consistent bible study should be the most important tools to use to attain this level of knowledge. Through bible study our consciousness of God is at its highest peak -giving us the insight needed to experience His personality, His nature, and His way of doing things. When we truly understand Him -we will be able to tap into His spirit and ways which in turn makes us gravitate more towards things that glorify Him.

We can use prayer as a tool to connect with Him opening up communication with Him to maintain a personal relationship that will lead us closer to His will. Most of all, if we speak His word through prayer agreeing with what the bible says, we should see results. God's word can not go back to Him void. Through prayer we can ask God to make His will clearer in our hearts and our minds. And just as Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord's prayer -we must definitely agree with God's will being done on earth as it is in heaven.

So, ultimately we can engage ourselves towards spiritual maturity in Christ by taking action towards God's will for us. The more we seek Him, the bible says we will find Him and all the answers to our questions about Him will be revealed.
